It opened as a restaurant, hotel, and tavern to serve the logging industry working the area. In the early 1950's it was purchased by Al and Alice Holmes and in 1973 a fire completely destroyed the building. The current building was built in the same location and opened as a bar only. Bob and Carol Rosa purchased it in 1978 and owned it until Chuck and Joyce Howell bought it in 1985. The Howells re

introduced food to the Swiss Inn with a limited menu of burgers, subs, and pizzas in 1996. In 1998 it was purchased by Mark and Lori Lightfoot and they decided to turn it into a full service restaurant. A much needed renovation was completed in 2006. Currently the Swiss Inn offers a full menu that is also available for carry out, live entertainment, and a friendly staff.
