West Bottoms Whiskeys is a local craft whiskey distillery located in the historic West Bottoms warehouse district of Kansas City. We are currently blending and bottling our award-winning Kansas City Style Whiskey, a whiskey-forward blend heavy on Rye with Bourbon and just a touch of dry aged sherry. Coming soon we will be releasing micro-batch American whiskeys distilled in-house including an Amer
ican Malt and Wheat Whiskey. Our distillery and cocktail parlor is open to the public and we welcome all types and vintages of of whiskey drinkers, from the amateur to the novice to the snob. We recommend starting with The Best Old Fashioned in Kansas City (self-titled but never challenged). We chose the West Bottoms as our home and namesake because we are inspired by the inventors, innovators, and entrepreneurs of the 1800s who worked, toiled, and celebrated in these buildings as they forged what would become Kansas City. We honor the men and women who drove change by marrying old traditions with new technology by constantly experimenting with new distilling, blending, and aging techniques in our never-ending quest to create the ever-more perfect American Whiskey.
