We've had some very sad hearts around here lately. We lost our wonderful doe Loretta last week unexpected and sudden 😢 she literally died in our arms as we were trying to help her.... in 12 years of having goats We've never lost a doe before, and it was just a couple days after kidding. So we have a bottle baby now, her surviving buckling has been going along with us every where we go. We don't really have the time for a bottle baby but thank goodness for town jobs that he can go along with and the kids have grown so attached. He's our house goat 😜
Loretta was our very first kid we retained to help grow our herd, she meant a lot to us and such a great mom. We still have her mom, whos retired now but Patsy still lives on...and We've also kept back a couple of daughters from Loretta. Our herd looks and feels a little different without her 💔
