Whether you're looking to avoid football all together or for a classy place to catch a game, we've got you covered...

Brix has never been a spot for screens, we don't have TVs on our main floor and we never will. So if you're hoping to get away from football this fall, this is the place to be. We keep things chill here on the Northside, if Iowa Ave. and the Ped Mall scene just aren't your thing it doesn't mean you have to avoid downtown all together. Believe it or not, it's actually quieter here on N. Linn St. during Hawkeye games than it is on regular Saturdays, so come down and give us a visit without any worry of big crowds and boisterous atmospheres.

But if you are kinda into football but just want a more "grown up" place to watch the game we've got you covered there as well. We are introducing our Brix Sky Box experience this year. Reserve 1 of only 4 tables available in our upstairs party room and enjoy the game in style. Each table seats 6 people and has a dedicated Sky Box server so you never miss a play from our new 75" TV that we'll be wheeling in front and center for each game (home and away).

Tables can be reserved by calling the shop at 319-359-1999. We'll ask for a $50 deposit but we'll take that off your food & beverage bill of $150 and up.

We have an amazing bonus round of free live music coming up next and we're hoping to pack the "house" in order to give him that big Iowa City welcome.

The first thing you hear when you listen to Rambler Kane is his heart. Pairing a relentless fingerpicking style with a powerful voice, the singer-songwriter from Jacksonville, FL is equal parts classic throwback and modern troubadour, drawing inspiration from some of the art form's trailblazers: Townes Van Zandt, Blaze Foley, and John Prine.

Kane's music is distinctly Americana, combining elements of the country, folk, and blues that have influenced him the most. As Jacksonville Music Experience put it, "Kane has already displayed a penchant for penning the kind of smart country tunes that are capable of touching on a range of human emotion in simple-yet-profound ways."

Rambler will be playing here in the Northside Outside next Wed., Sept. 16th. The show is free to attend, get here early to try and snag one of the community tables or better yet, pack a couple chairs and set up your own spot to enjoy the tunes and all the goodies our neighborhood has to offer.

Missed out on season tickets this year? We’ve got you covered💛🖤

We are opening up our Brix Sky Box every game day this year! Come watch the game on a 75 inch screen in our upstairs space with beautiful views of the Iowa City Northside.

Each table seats six and will recieve table service from our staff throughout the entire game! Reservations will require a $50 deposit, which is returned to you if your table exceeds $150.

We are now taking reservations! Space is limited, so stop into the bar or call us at (310) 359-1999 to watch the big game in style!🏈

For one day only we’ll be frying up some of the best fried chicken on earth and pairing it with our most favorite froth.

Base price includes 1/4 chicken dinner and 4 different Ch*****nes. You can upgrade to a 1/2 chicken (+$15) and add a VERY special 5th glass of bubbles (+$30) if you’d like.

Our team spent last Sunday clearing out our storage closets and we discovered a LOT of stuff that we no longer need…

In preparation for our Rose v. Wade party, we have decided to sell our extra glassware, equipment, and more to raise additional funds for our beloved Emma Goldman Clinic!

Each year we donate 10% of our w**e sales from the Rose v. Wade event to Emma Goldman. In addition to these funds and our garage sale proceeds, an anonymous donor has offered to match our donation this year!

Come party in the street with us and raise money for women's health care...

Back in 2019 we decided to host a little w**e tasting called "Rosé v. Wade" to help raise money for The Emma Goldman Clinic and that little event turned into quite the shindig. Since then the tasting has happened every year and keeps growing. We now have a private label w**e with the same name and have even taken the w**e to the national market this year to help further the movement.

This year we hope to surpass $50,000 in total funds raised for The Emma Goldman Clinic which itself has become more and more vital to our community every year. With closings of clinics throughout the state The EGC is now only one of two such active clinics in the state of Iowa. Maintaining our support for them is crucial to the health of women (and people of all genders) in Eastern Iowa and beyond.

While it is sad and infuriating to see politics rearing its ugly head and suppressing modern health care and infringing on the rights of individuals we feel one of the best things we can do (outside of the ballot box) is to gather, rejoice, raise funds & awareness, and raise a glass with each other... basically, let's party!

We’re back! DouxDieux Montana and Nick Craig will be upstairs this Thursday pairing some vinyl records with a w**e flight but if w**e isn’t your thing, no big deal, just stop downstairs and grab whatever suits you fancy and come on up to hang.
