Per Hudson Police Department, due to rain, the Memorial Day Parade and ceremonies have been canceled today.

We are excited to announce that Hudson VFW Post 1027 will be participating in the Hudson Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 25th! We will have a truck decorated for the occasion with banners for the VFW and volunteers marching with us to hand out fun items to the crowd.

If you are interested in joining us to march in the parade, we would love additional volunteers! This is a short half mile route that starts at the Hudson Amvets, marches down to Houghton Street and goes back up Main Street culminating at Liberty Park. If you are unable to walk the parade route, we have a limited number of seats in the truck. If interested in participating, please contact Erin at (508) 641-5612.

In advance of Memorial Day, members of the VFW Post 1027 and the Boy Scouts planted flags at the Forestdale Cemetery today. Thank you to all volunteers for honoring our veterans!

Due to technically difficulties with the pizza oven, no pizza this Sunday…but never fear, Jenny still has a plan! She’ll be serving meat lasagna, chicken parm and potentially other options. So come on down!!

Hi everyone…over the weekend, we received the sad news that our member Erica Mahoney’s house burnt down and is a total loss. Erica’s family, including her parents and siblings, has lost everything and is currently displaced. We are in the process of planning a meat shoot to raise money for the family, but in the meantime, if you have any adult clothing you can donate, it would greatly help them. Looking for both men’s and women’s clothing in sizes small to XL. Gift cards to Walmart, Target or other clothing stores would also be greatly appreciated. Let’s help this family get through some of the hardest days of their lives! Erica has been a generous donor to veteran’s causes and we want to help her and her family in return. Donations can be dropped off at the V and left on the pool table. If you bring a gift card, leave it with the bartender with a note for Erin. Thank you in advance!!
