Thanks for the memories, Houston. ❤️

We have loved spending the last 10 years with you in this space, but it’s time to say goodbye. Thanks to every single person whose ever joined us for a beer, played a round of trivia, watched a Nebraska game, eaten a few chicken wings, or just spent an afternoon hanging out with us at Hay Merchant. The past 10 years have been a blast, and we are so thankful for each of you.

While Hay Merchant is no more, we hope you will continue to make memories with us at our current concepts. Our goal is to keep the Hay Merchant spirit alive throughout the company, and we hope you will join us. We love you, Houston. Thanks again! 🤘🏼

It's here, y'all. Our last weekend of brunch has arrived. Join us for brunch today or tomorrow from 11am-3pm for a few Hay Merchant brunch classics, like the Everything Breakfast Sando, French Toast, or the Crawfish Skillet. 🤤

Come & join us for one last beer & happy hour at Hay Merchant tonight. 🍻 Current happy hour snacks include fried oysters, buffalo chicken dip, 1/4 muffuletta, and blistered shish*tos. Plus we have $5 dirty martinis, $4 house wines by the glass, and select $4 beers, too. Happy Hour is from 5-6:30 daily. Cheers 🤘🏻

Weekly Wednesday Trivia has become one of our favorite traditions at Hay Merchant, and tonight we’ll celebrate our final trivia night. Thanks to everyone who has ever assembled a team and participated, thanks to each and every brewery who has sponsored trivia night (we couldn’t do it without you), and lastly, thanks to our trivia night host with the most, Kyle!!!

Tonight during trivia, we’ll have the following draft beers available for $4 each—
-Karbach Horseshoe Pilsner
-Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
-Saint Arnold Art Car IPA

And, as always, here’s a social media hint to help get things started— Which US state is nicknamed the Centennial State because it became a state in 1876? Trivia starts at 7:15! 💥

It's a beautiful day to enjoy a spicy chicken sandwich out on our patio ☀️🥵🍺

You know the drill— hot sauce brined chicken, Swiss cheese, black pepper buttermilk sauce, on a fluffy Breadman bun.

There's also a chicken sando on the menu at Underbelly Burger, too. Not the exact same as our version, but it's really close and definitely hits the spot when you're craving a chicken sandwich. 💯

It’s Trivia Night. We’ve got $4 beers. AND WINGS ARE BACK!!! It’s gonna be a party tonight, LFG!!!🤘🏻

First things first— beginning tonight, we are bringing back CHICKEN WINGS!!! We’ll have two sauces available— Classic hot & PB&J. We’ll have wings on our menu up until our last day. 🍗

Next…it’s trivia night, which means we’ll have several $4 draft beers available tonight— Eureka Heights Buckle Bunny, Saint Arnold Art Car IPA, and Wasatch Devastator. These will be $4 each from the start of trivia until it’s over. 🍻

Finally…we’ve got a trivia hint for ya— Asunción is the capital of which South American country? Find the answer, remember it, and be here tonight for trivia.

Join us this morning for one of our favorites— pulled pork & hash brown flautas topped with cilantro crema, two sunny side up eggs and Lily's salsa (the best 🔥).

Some calls you just can’t ignore. 😉 Brunch is served from 11am-3pm Saturday & Sunday.

The Cease & Desist Burger— a Hay Merchant classic. OG's will know the story behind the name…let’s just say we had never heard of a “Double Double” before. Honest mistake. 🤷

Anyways, the bad news is that there’s only a few weeks left to try the Hay Merchant C&D. Two 44 Farms patties, two slices of cheese, lettuce, house-made pickles, and local tomato. The GOOD news, is that Underbelly Burger is now open at the The Houston Farmers Market. It’s not the exact same as the C&D, but it’s damn delicious. Next time you’re craving a burger, we advise giving it a shot. 🍔💥

In the meantime, Hay Merchant is open tonight from 5-11pm & there’s still time to get your classic C&D burger fix. 🙌

We officially have a final date of service. Hay Merchant will close its doors on Sunday, January 23. We plan to go out with a bang, and it's going to be an exciting final month. 💥 Join us for one last cellar beer, C&D burger or chicken fried steak, and stay tuned for more information about an upcoming garage sale where we will be selling art, signs, bar stools, and more from the restaurant.
