This month we are featuring local artist, instructor, and art publisher Bart Abraham of Tigard, Oregon, along with live music throughout the evening. Just a block away Catherine Bede Gallery celebrates 10 years in Hillsboro. We are just a few of the artist receptions along the art walk this week.

Every month on the First Tuesday Art Walk in Historic Downtown Hillsboro, guests can also explore a diverse collection of artists, musicians, shops, and restaurants throughout the downtown walking route.

About Featured Artist Bart Abraham:
Bart Abraham is a mixed media artist whose creative roots began in South Dakota and Nebraska, influenced by both his grandfather, a graphic designer, and his mother, a successful painter. After earning a BFA in Printmaking & Gallery Management from the University of South Dakota, Bart expanded into mixed media and built a career spanning gallery management, teaching, publishing, and fine art.

His experience includes working with internationally recognized artists at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, managing galleries in Portland and Squaw Valley, and publishing artwork for collectors nationwide.

Now based in Tigard, Oregon, Bart creates from his backyard studio and participates in annual art shows throughout the region.

While many see Memorial Day as the unofficial start of summer, today at Resolu Cellars we pause to honor and remember. 🇺🇸

Memorial Day began after the Civil War as a day to honor and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country. Over time, it became a national day of remembrance for all fallen military members and a moment to reflect on the freedoms their sacrifice helped protect.

🎯For our family, this day carries deep meaning. Kathie’s father served a career in the Navy, her brother and nephew also served Navy, and our son Cameron served in the USMC. Scott’s family includes service in both the Air Force and Army. We have great respect not only for those who served, but also for the families who stood beside them through deployments, sacrifice, and loss..

🍷The tasting room is open today from 12–5pm, with Scott and Kathie serving. We’re happy to stay a bit later if you’d like to stop in for a glass or flight — just text, call, or make a reservation online.

(Veterans always receive 10% off in the tasting room. Just let your server know.)

Today we’re pouring our locally-crafted Chardonnay for $2 off by the glass — all day long. Sourced from a vineyard just 3 miles from our winery and made right here in our Historic Downtown Hillsboro cellar, this wine is a true local sip from vine to glass.

It’s also Oregon Wine Month, so our Oregon Wine Flight is featured throughout May if you’re in the mood to explore more local wines.
