We know downtown is a little busier than usual this weekend, so we want to clear up one big question:

If you’re coming to W**estein’s to shop or enjoy some w**e, simply let the parking attendants know you’re visiting us and you can park at no charge while you’re here!

So don’t let the GrapeFest crowds keep you from stopping in. Come grab a glass, pick up a bottle, or spend a little time with us while you’re downtown. 🥂

🍣🍷 Sushi + w**e + a little hands-on fun? We’re in.

Join us Thursday, October 8th as LAV Sushi takes over W**estein’s for an interactive evening of sushi making and w**e pairing!

You’ll learn to make three different sushi rolls and choose your own proteins, with options including salmon, tuna, yellowtail, spicy tuna, crab, and more.

Then comes the W**estein’s part. 😉 Michael will select w**es to pair with your choices, giving you three total glasses of w**e to enjoy alongside the three rolls you create.

Tomorrow night, we’re welcoming acclaimed sparkling w**emaker Laurent Gruet to W**estein’s to personally present his VARA sparkling portfolio.

Laurent comes from a Ch*****ne w**emaking family and has spent decades making sparkling w**e, including helping establish New Mexico as a serious home for traditional-method bubbles. Now you’ll have the opportunity to sit down, taste his work, hear directly from the w**emaker, and learn the stories behind the w**es.

🚨 Members, we’re down to the FINAL TWO DAYS!

It’s officially Day 14 of 15 of Members’ Tasting, which means if you haven’t made it in yet, this is your sign to stop putting it off!

For our final Members’ Week Spotlight, we’re featuring Generación 20 Garnacha, an organic Garnacha from Bajo Aragón with a wonderful family story behind the bottle. It’s named for the w**emakers’ grandfather, Antonio, who was born in 1920 and planted these Garnacha vines nearly 75 years ago.

Aged 14 months in French oak, it brings together raspberry, coffee, cocoa, rosemary, thyme, and toasty spice for a w**e that’s complex, fruit-forward, and well worth discovering.

Only today and tomorrow remain to enjoy this month’s Members’ Tasting. Come see us, taste through the lineup, and make sure you don’t miss out before it’s gone! 🍷

🇪🇸 The countdown to Spain is ON! 🍷

September 26th is getting closer, and we’re preparing to fill W**estein’s with up to 50 Spanish w**es for one seriously fun afternoon of tasting.

We’re talking reds, whites, Cavas and w**es from some of Spain’s most iconic regions—including Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Penedès and more.

Whether you already have a favorite Spanish region or you’re coming in knowing absolutely nothing, that’s part of the fun. Taste your way around, compare styles, discover something completely new, and find a few bottles you’ll want to remember.

W**estein’s is teaming up with LAV Sushi for a hands-on Sushi & W**e experience on Thursday, October 8th!

LAV Sushi will teach you how to make 3 different sushi rolls, and you’ll get to choose your proteins—including options like salmon, tuna, yellowtail, spicy tuna, crab and more.

Then we handle the w**e. 🍷 Michael will select a pairing to complement each of your choices, and you’ll receive 3 full glasses of w**e to enjoy with your 3 freshly made rolls.

🥂 We have a VERY special guest coming to W**estein’s.

On Wednesday, September 16th, we’ll be joined by Laurent Gruet, Partner & Sparkling W**emaker at VARA W**ery & Distillery—and his résumé makes this a tasting we’re especially excited about.

Laurent began making w**e alongside his father in Ch*****ne when he was only 16. He later moved to New Mexico and spent decades helping establish the state as a serious producer of traditional-method sparkling w**e before beginning a new chapter with VARA in 2020.

At VARA, Laurent is combining that Ch*****ne heritage with some serious experimentation and a distinctly New Mexican identity. One recent result? His 2023 New Mexico Sparkling Brut—made entirely from New Mexico-grown grapes—received 98 points and a Double Gold Medal at the 2024 San Francisco International W**e Competition. 🏆🍾

And now you can taste his work with the w**emaker himself right here at W**estein’s.
