2026 Low Am & Glenwood Open

The biggest weekend of amateur golf on the Western Slope is almost here!

Start the weekend with the 2026 Low Am Team Challenge on Friday, July 10. Fifteen of the area’s top amateur players will serve as team captains and draft four-player teams for a fun and competitive day of golf. The format is One Gross + One Net score on each hole, giving every player the opportunity to contribute. It’s also the perfect chance to get a competitive practice round in before the Glenwood Open.

The 2026 Kings of the Hill has officially come to a close, and we have our champions!

Congratulations to Knate Biro and Brian Thompson on being crowned the 2026 Kings of the Hill Champions!

With the victory, Knate Biro becomes a back-to-back Kings of the Hill Champion, accomplishing the feat with two different partners in consecutive years.

A huge congratulations as well to Natasha Derby and Tony Brummond. They played outstanding golf all weekend and battled hard in the Championship Match before ultimately falling 3&2 on the 16th hole.

In the 3rd Place Match, Tim Strickland and Colby Cox earned the victory to claim third place honors.

We want to thank all 20 teams that participated in this year’s event. The new pod-play format was a tremendous success, guaranteeing every team 27 holes of competition on Saturday and keeping every hole meaningful throughout the day. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and there’s a good chance you’ll see a similar format return in future Kings of the Hill tournaments.

Thank you to everyone who competed, followed along, and helped make this another great event at Glenwood Springs Golf Club.

The 2026 Kings of the Hill is underway today at Glenwood Springs Golf Club!

This year we made a format change with our 20-team field, and we think it’s going to be a blast.

Teams were randomly drawn into 5 pods of 4 teams. Each team will play every other team in their pod for a total of three 9-hole matches and 27 holes of golf on Saturday.

Scoring is simple:
• Win a hole = 1 point
• Tie a hole = 0.5 points each

Every hole matters. Even if a match is decided early, all 9 holes are played because every point counts toward the overall standings.

After all pod play is complete, the top four teams in total points will advance to Sunday.

• 1st and 2nd in points will play for the Championship
• 3rd and 4th in points will play for the Consolation Championship
