You've seen him around the kitchen, but we're officially welcoming Markus to the Urban Decanter team!

Markus joined our team at the end of March. He has a background in pastry and worked with Chef Dan of Champagne Poetry. He has also worked under James Beard Award nominated chef, Peter Cho of HanOak. Most recently he lead the kitchen at Collective Market in Downtown Hillsboro.

Markus utilizes modern cooking techniques and specializes in Asian flavor profiles. He loves the seasonality of produce in the PNW, Farmers Markets, and the booming food scene in Oregon.

A fun fact about Markus is that he can speak 4 languages!
