Our Story
Founders Cam Bogener (son), Terry Bogener (dad) and Carolyn Newberry (mom) had a long-time dream of opening a Sports Bar in Estes Park. They’re a true baseball family and felt there was a need for a sports bar in Estes Park. It has a very special meaning to this family. The name celebrates Terry’s baseball career. He played college baseball at the University of Oklahoma for 4 years and p

layed professionally for 9 years. Terry still holds the career record for stolen bases at OU! With a last name of Bogener, his nickname has been Bogey since he was a little boy and all through his professional career. He’s still called Bogey by his former teammates and coaches. Terry can often be found at the bar telling hilarious baseball stories.

Today is the last day for two incredibly special members of our Bogey’s family—our amazing Cultural Exchange Visitors from Thailand, Oat and Ice.

You joined us just as we opened the Bogey’s Burgers food trailer and became such an important part of making it a success. You worked hard, learned everything we threw at you, kept smiling through the craziness—and absolutely killed it!

But more than that, you brought so much joy, laughter and kindness to Bogey’s. We are unbelievably proud of you, incredibly grateful for you and so very sad to say goodbye.

Oat and Ice, whatever adventure comes next, we know you’ll kill it—because that’s simply what you do. We’re going to miss you more than you know.

Once Bogey’s family, always Bogey’s family. ❤️

Safe travels, friends. Thailand is getting two wonderful people back—but Estes Park won’t be quite the same without you.

🏀 WOW—LOOK WHO STOPPED BY BOGEY’S! 🏀

We had the absolute honor of welcoming Colorado basketball legend Edward “Chuck” Williams to Bogey’s—and what an incredible pleasure it was!

Chuck starred for the University of Colorado Buffaloes before being selected by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 1968 NBA Draft. He went on to enjoy an impressive eight-season professional career in the ABA and NBA, appearing in 638 regular-season games and earning two ABA All-Star selections!

Colorado fans may especially remember Chuck from his time with the Denver Rockets and Denver Nuggets. Across three different stints, he played 184 games for the franchise—both before and after the historic ABA–NBA merger. He was inducted into the CU Athletic Hall of Fame in 2018 and the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame in 2023. A true Colorado sports icon! 🖤💛

As remarkable as Chuck’s accomplishments are, we were even more impressed by the man himself. He was so incredibly warm, gracious and genuinely lovely. We absolutely loved visiting with him, and seeing him wearing a Bogey’s hat made the moment even better!

Chuck, thank you for spending some time with us. It was truly an honor to have you at Bogey’s! 🍻🏀
