One Year Since Everest: Celebrating Brianâs Journey to the Top of the World
A year ago this week, one of our favorite regulars, Brian Buttray, stood on the highest point on Earth, the summit of Mount Everest. At 29,032 feet above sea level, surrounded by snow, wind, and the breathtaking silence of the Himalayas, he achieved something very few people ever will.
What makes the story even more special to us is that he brought part of our restaurant along for the journey. Our âTop of the Worldâ menu quite literally made it to the top of the world. And we like to think thatâs exactly where food this good belongs.
Before his expedition, Brian joked that our menu was the perfect training fuel for climbing the worldâs tallest mountain. We loved hearing about his preparation, his determination, and the countless hours he spent getting ready for the challenge. But when he actually carried our menu with him all the way to Everest Base Camp and beyond, it became something unforgettable for all of us.
This week, one year after his summit, we want to celebrate Brianâs incredible achievement and thank him for being part of our restaurant family.
