UPDATE: Does anyone have a set of boards / bags they’d be willing to bring tomorrow? Just want to make sure that we can keep the tournament moving depending on how many players sign up. Thanks in advance!
UPDATE: We're gonna do a "SWITCHOLIO" CO****LE TOURNAMENT on Sunday. If you're unfamiliar, it goes like this: Each person signs up as a single (rather than 2 as a team). There will be 3-4 rounds of play depending on number of participants. Each player will be randomly assigned a new/different partner for each round, so you will not have the same partner or opponents for any 2 rounds. Players will be ranked individually based on total # of wins and total points accumulated. A teams total points from a game are scored by both players on that team. (ie: your team wins with 21 points = both you and your partner receive 21 points towards your individual total accumulated points, and you both receive one "win"). The top ranked player will be the winner for that day. If it goes well, and we have enough interest, we can do several of these over the upcoming weeks and use the rankings to pair up teams for a final tournament for "all of the marbles". This should be a fun way to level the playing field and give all skill levels a chance at winning, rather than one team of seasoned "pros" kicking the $ #!+ out of all us amateur jokers who are just tryin' to have a good time. Sign-up will be this Sunday morning (6/14/26) at 10AM and the first round will start at 10:30AM, but feel free to comment here if you plan to attend, so we can get an idea of how many players will be involved. We have several sets of boards and bags, but if anyone is willing to bring a set, it will help to keep the games moving at a decent pace. We're looking forward to a day of fun, and we hope you can make it! Don't forget, breakfast will be available until noon, and a little birdie told us that there might be some kind of crazy, FULLY LOADED BLOODY MARY SPECIAL as well!
We're working on setting up a little CO****LE game next Sunday! Maybe a Sunday League for a few weeks. Anybody interested?
