Welcome to LouElla Wine, Beer & Beverage, Downtown Durham’s neighborhood bottle shop, bar, and event space offering a curated wine list and fortified selections from family-operated producers. We are proudly named after our owner’s Great Aunt LouElla, who exhibited warmth, hospitality, and a generous spirit. Today, we carry on her legacy, welcoming every guest with open arms and a full glass. Our wine bar in Durham, NC, offers a hand-chosen selection of curated wine, craft beer, refreshing ciders, and much more. We regularly host wine tasting events in our modern, relaxing space, and you won’t find our unique selections anywhere else.

Hannah Smith of Piedmont W**e Imports joins us this Saturday with a mixed bag of w**es to pour—from California Vermentino to French and Italian rosé, plus a few other things worth getting to know.

No theme to study up on. Just good bottles, good conversation, and an excuse to taste something you might not normally grab off the shelf.

Next Tuesday, we’re welcoming three producers from some of South Africa’s most exciting w**e regions for a special pop-up tasting at LouElla.

• Hugo Carinus (Carinus Family Vineyards, Swartland)
