The Peach Candy Nut Boys formed in 2023, when multi-instrumentalists Lake Coppedge and Owen Buettner began writing songs together in a basement in Boone, North Carolina. United by a shared love of psychedelic rock classics, offbeat riffs, and intricate harmonies, they soon expanded the lineup with Emmett Beerbower and Aidan “Fleasy” Smith. Recording in their home studio, the group completed their self-titled five-song EP in August 2024.
After Aidan’s departure, the band welcomed Joe Davis on bass in late 2025, further shaping their evolving sound. Their style leans into progressive rock, echoing early Pink Floyd while branching into the raw energy of the Foo Fighters, the laid-back spirit of Tom Petty, and the melodic punch of the Buzzcocks.
On stage, the band embraces spontaneity, blending influences and experimentation to create dynamic, ever-shifting live performances that feel more like journeys than setlists.
