We are halfway through the month of September, and we are excited to bring you more great music, and much more in the coming weeks.

It's still hot out there, and it looks like it is going to linger for several more days. We are here for you with cold AC, chilled wines and beers, and cool music.

Tuesday and Wednesday, we have Happy Hour Jazz with Paul Metzger 4 PM on Tuesday, and Kelly Durbin at 4 PM on Wednesday.

Friday:
3:30 we have Friday Classics. These musicians gather for two hours to share classical music with the audience. It's like a jam session for classical folks.
7:30 PM, The Blues Crew is back for another night of great blues, rock, jazz, and more.

Saturday:
3 PM Off the Rails will be bringing you their twist on Blue Grass.
7:30 PM, the Satin Dolls are back after many months away. This band of women will bring the jazz, soul, and swing for your listening pleasure.

As part of our featured wine tasting this month, we are pairing aromas with each wine. If you would like to learn more about how to identify different aromas in your wine, this month is a great opportunity to try to hone your skills.

Mark Your Calendar

October is just around the corner, and we will be hosting the Thursday Night Twilight Tunes across the street in the park. We will be offering reserved seating that will include a beverage as part of the reservation.

Starting in October, we will be hosting a First Thursday wine tasting event. We will be working with wineries, and our vendors, to offer a special "First-come, First-served" tasting event. We will do something new each month. No reservations, simply show up, taste the wine, and take advantage of the special pricing on the wines.

October 12th, we are hosting a Dinner here at Steve's with Chefs Suzanne Johnson and Jimmy Meredith. The menu is being created and we will have the reservations online soon.

October 21, we are pleased to bring back the French musical group, the JuJu Bees. It's been over two years since we last had them here. It will be a fantastic night of music and wine. Keep your eyes open for the announcement and reservations coming soon.

October 23rd, we are hosting a special wine and cheese pairing event with Napa Winery, Truchard. We will have the Estate Directory from Truchard here to talk about the wines and share his insight on the Truchard wine program.

November 16th, we will be hosting our annual Champagne Tasting event. We are working with our vendors to put together another amazing experience for you to enjoy.

Tonight!
For your Labor Day Holiday, Brad Leali and the GrooveTet will be swinging hard at 7 PM. We still have seats available for those interested in walking in for a night of big band jazz.

Tuesday and Wednesday, we have Happy Hour Jazz with Paul Metzger 4 PM on Tuesday, and Kelly Durbin at 4 PM on Wednesday.

Thursday Night we have a special performance with guitarist Bruce Bond at 7:30.

This weekend is the Denton Arts and Jazz Fest. (https://dentonjazzfest.com/) We will have our usual Saturday afternoon Irish Pub Experience at 3 PM. We are leaving our evenings open for those who want to visit the fest.
We understand they are still looking for volunteers to help during the weekend. If you have time to sign up and help out for a session or two, they would really appreciate it.

Sept 13, Sunday afternoon we have two events.
2 PM we are hosting another presentation on our plans for the River Cruise in Bordeaux France. Come on down and join us and enjoy a glass of wine and some light snacks.
3 PM is our Group Tasting for the wine club. Reserve your seats and come join us for this great group event.

If you would like to start to learn more about aromas and how they influence your enjoyment of wine, this months wine club is all about the "smell" of wine. When you join us for a wine tasting, you will also receive an aroma kit to "pair" with your wine.

Sfuso di Anna Rosso
This week we are promoting a special bottle of wine Cheryl has brought in from Italy for you to enjoy.

A fascinating Etna field blend of 84% Nerello Mascalese with small amounts of Nerello Cappuccio, Grenache and indigenous white varieties, a portion of the ‘Sfuso di Anna’ (https://www.steveswinebar.com/product/vino-di-anna-sfuso-di-anna-rosso/IQEPIPSFVC5OHUMHN5JSDGOD?cp=true&sa=false&sbp=false&q=true) was fermented in Georgian clay qvevri (amphorae) and traditional lava-stone palmenti, then aged in neutral chestnut wood barrels. Fragrant and lifted, it features bright red fruits like wild sour cherries, red plums, and pomegranate, intertwined with dried oregano, hints of crushed flower petals, and a touch of smoky, volcanic minerality from the dark basalt soil of Mt. Etna. It’s clean, crisp, and refreshing, with gentle, silky tannins and zero oak influence.

Good morning and Happy Thursday!

Steve and Karen are back from their travels to Paso Robles as they celebrated both the 10 years of Steve's Wine Bar, and their own 43rd Anniversary. They had a group of wine club members who joined them on this trip as they visited several wineries. Stop by the bar over the next few days and catch up with them about their travels and experiences they had in CA. And chat with them about their plans for the trip to Bordeaux France next Summer. We still have a few rooms available on the cruise.

Thank you to all who reached out and wished us a happy 10-year anniversary this last month. It's been a very special experience bringing you great wine, music, and special experiences during our first 10 years.

Looking at the calendar for the coming weekend and more, we have some great activities planned for you. Let's take a look.

Today we have a special performance with Nick Finzer and special guest Shauli Einav - saxophone who is visiting UNT from Europe.
We also have our Half-Price bottles.

Tomorrow, we begin our September Wine Club tasting.

Cassandra Berry and Kevin Eubanks are back Friday evening at 7:30 PM for a Piano Bar musical experience.

Off the Rails is back on Saturday afternoon at 3 PM.
José Aponte and the Caribe Club perform on Saturday night at 7:30.

Sunday evening is a special performance with Roses and Clover. A fan favorite for those of you who love the vocal stylings of the Andrew Sisters.

Monday night, Brad Leali and the GrooveTet is on stage for a great night of music.
