Established in 2005, Wine² is a unique wine bar located in a 19th century building on Denton's historic downtown square. The bar has been written up in Tasting Panel Magazine, Pegasus News, and D Magazine due to our devotion to excellent customer service, expert wine and beer knowledge, and unpretentious approach. We offer wine by the taste, the glass, or the bottle, local craft & import beers, an

d Build-Your-Own Charcuterie to pair with your beverages. Wine² has a fun, laid back atmosphere with a knowledgeable and helpful staff. Whether you are new to wine or a full on aficionado we can guide you to something you will enjoy. We always have special features in addition to our regular wine lists. The list is 120+ bottles strong with 20 or more wines by the glass or taste at any given time. We choose hand crafted wines from all over the world based on the strength of their value. Beers:

All plates are served with an assortment of pickled veggies, olives, black currant jam, and raw honey. Cheese: Gouda, Smoked Gouda, Irish Cheddar, Spanish Manchego, French Brie, Goat Cheese (Chevre), Marinated Mozzarella

Meat: Salami, Peppered Salami, Prosciutto, Calabrese

Spread: Pesto, Spinach-Parmesan Dip,

Dear Denton Community,

Wine Squared will be closing permanently on July 31st.

Wine Squared opened in 2005, back when the square looked a lot different. I, George Ferrie, have had the privilege of being a part of the growth since 2015. It has been a pleasure growing, teaching, and expanding your wine knowledge over the last decade and a half. It’s been an honor being a part of your showers, birthdays, book clubs, weddings, and so much more. Our own little Kenny even got married here days before we shut down. Wine Squared would like to thank Kenny and Wandaliz for all of their years of hard work and friendship. We’ve made so many memories and had so many good times.

For a small business, this is a huge decision. Local service industry workers are one of the most affected workforces during this global pandemic. Every purchase made since March 16th has kept the lights on, vendors paid, and employees home and safe. We cannot thank you enough. We will also be messaging all Gift Card purchasers at a later date about how they wish to move forward, and updating on curbside/delivery moving forward.

Downtown Denton relies on the efforts of small businesses and artists to draw people into this town, and to entertain those that live in it. We persevere and are constantly resilient during tough times. We are what makes Denton so unique and wonderful. However you feel during this pandemic, please do not forget to support your neighbors. Support Local and respect what each and every establishment has to do to survive and thrive.
