The writing has been on the wall for quite some time, I think. Being gone for so long, being a caregiver for so long... I'll be shutting down Wine & Words.

Using good advice, I'll be focusing on rebuilding my writing career, working on the backlog of unfinished novels, novellas, novelettes, and so on.

I loved these author meet and greets. I loved giving marketing opportunities to authors, and at the time, we needed some kind of bookstore in Dahlonega. Even after so long, people STILL ask about it at Accent Cellars. They were fantastic hosts, and they really did want to support me in reviving it--but it's time to let it go, and focus on writing (and maybe a substantive editing job here and there--another "writing" love of mine). They accepted this with love and grace, because they're that kind of people.

I'll be deleting this page after about a month.

Mab here: I'm moving back to Dahlonega, after years of caring for my mother. Wine & Words will be coming back! Just give me some time to settle in, and talk to the folks at Accent Cellars to see how it will work this time around! So, later in the year, but it IS in the plans!

What I do know is that if we follow the same format, even with tweaks: I'll want copies of books BEFORE the author events, so I can do the "Wine Pairings" ahead of time, to help promotion of the events, and give you the checklist from the most successful (for both author and winery) author we had for promotions on the author's end.

It will always be an author meet and greet, a nice little marketing event, and maybe, again, a popup bookstore (but we'll do it differently). YES, you would still be able to sell your books (I mean, of course. Just have to see HOW we'll be doing it).

READERS: Who are your dream, regional authors that you'd like to meet?

AUTHORS, especially those who were featured before: What did you like, and what would you like to have this time around?
