Absolutely not.

You don’t need to know grapes, regions, vintages or fancy w**e words. Tell us what you normally drink, a flavor you love or simply say “I have no idea what I want” and we’ll take it from there. 😉

W**e should be fun, not intimidating. Come curious, ask questions, try something new and maybe leave with a new favorite.

🀄 Mahjong 101 is coming to uva!🍷

Curious about American Mahjong but not sure where to start? This beginner-friendly class is your chance to finally learn the game everyone seems to be talking about!

Join us Thursday, September 10 for a fun evening of sipping, socializing & learning. We’ll take you step-by-step through the basics—from getting to know the tiles and reading the NMJL card to the Charleston, choosing a hand, and actually playing the game.

✨ No experience necessary!
✨ All tiles, racks & learning materials provided
✨ Perfect for complete beginners, curious friends & long-lapsed players looking for a refresher

The evening:

✨ Meet Nina! ✨

Say hello to one of the newest faces at uva! Nina recently joined our team as a hostess, so there’s a good chance she’ll be one of the first smiling faces you see when you walk through the door. 🍷

A few fun facts about Nina: her favorite foods are Portuguese food and seafood 🦐, her happy place is Disney 🏰, and she drives something you definitely don’t see every day—a limited-edition Marvel Iron Man car. ❤️💛 (Yes, we have questions too.)
