We re-opened in late 2025 as a community and event center. But, SO many of our friends, employees and regulars came by and messaged us asking us to open sometimes on Friday and Saturday nights. Being transparent - we haven't had many come see us - YET, and we were a little bit worried at first that it would work out. But, we have been grateful for all of you who have come to see us for our events and on Fridays and Saturdays! It has been amazing this past two months seeing everyone. Being very open with you all - we made the conscious decision early on to do this organic and slow this time around to see what works and maybe to have a little bit more fun. Because when we opened Blackbird the first time around, we had lines out the door and we grew too fast only to hit the COVID brick wall right after and it was extremely difficult and heartbreaking. We've learned a lot and grown as people in the past 7 years from the experience. But, onward and upward! We continue on our journey, growth and evolution.
So, we know the big question every weekend is, "Are you open?". And, the answer is hard because we are booking events as well - in fact, we have several events already booked for the first half of 2026, including a few weddings! We are forever grateful for this. But, it makes it harder for everyone to know when we're open so here's two things we're doing to make it easier on all of you and on us.
1. We will begin to put the Open Pub Nights on our calendar online. Visit us at www.aeriecommons.com and check there to see if we're open on a Friday or Saturday - and well while you're there - also check out what events are coming up!
2. If our open sign in the window is on, we're open to the public. If there are cars, and it's off - it's likely a private event and we'll make sure that's posted on the door and on our calendar. This will help anyone who wants to know if a date is available for a private event!
We are open tonight January 2nd and tomorrow January 3rd, come on in - we have a few things on our pub menu tonight (oh, by the way, this will be changing all the time!) - Chocolate Torte with whip and gold dust, Blue Cheese Cheesecake with berry jam and chive oil, Fried Smashed Potatoes, Truffle Fries with parmesan, Fried Brussel Sprouts with Balsamic and Jalepeno Honey Drizzle, Charcuterie Board, Hummus with Naan, Bar Cheese with Pretzels, and wings - oh and the cocktails are pretty good too!
