During the first West Virginia Italian Heritage Festival in 1979, the wi
ne flowed with tantalizing arrays of delectable food abound and the music was fast-paced. The color, pageantry, entertainment, events, contests, exhibitions, and displays packed the streets of Clarksburg -- the Festival was an instant success. With each successive year, the little Festival has grown and has brought thousands of visitors into historic Clarksburg. Visitors from all over line the streets and admire the beautiful architecture of years past, listen to family-favorite tunes, and honor those who have paved our bright future. The Festival takes pride in bringing FREE headline entertainment including award-winning artists to hometown musicians and dance groups. Local, statewide, and national vendors provide authentic cuisine, Italian-American merchandise, beverages, and sweets! It is always a great time to reunite with old friends as well as meeting new family from around the world! Exciting annual traditions include Pasta Cook-Off leading into Festival week, Thursday evening Honorees Award Ceremony, Friday morning Coronation of Regina Maria and recognition of the Royal Court, Saturday morning Grand Feature Parade, and Sunday morning Outdoor Mass. Each evening closes with invigorating performances by AMICI with dancing in the street. Please join us and help to celebrate our annual Celebration! This year promises to carry on its tradition of being one of the state's most spectacular and colorful events!
