Cincinnati Friends & Listeners: Nathan Katkin's "Sophie's Dream" Band will make a rare appearance this Friday Sept 4 at 8pm at the SWELL Art Café on 2936 Colerain Ave. in the Camp Washington section of Cincinnati. ¡Jay Hill¡ and Matthew Shelton also are on the bill. We’ve announced the new menu coming, we told you we’re in the process of getting a new GM, and we’re also working on some upgrades to our bar and kitchen while we’re at it- why not do it all?! This means that for the next 2-3 weeks, we’re only going to be open for scheduled events (check out swell.com/events for the list), and we will have a limited food menu (Marx bagels and schmear!). Please bear with us and come support the incredible artists and musicians we have lined up over the next few weeks- and don’t forget to tip your bartenders- they’re keeping this place afloat during a wild transition! 🔨📚🎶🪚

BIG NEWS! We've got something new cooking over here at SWELL. In keeping with the ethos and mission of SWELL as a place for revolutionary community solidarity and inspiration, the crew at SWELL is now partnering with Chef Rose Che to bring an Afrocentric menu to the budding artist hangout in the heart of Cincinnati’s industrial corridor. The new menu will feature Rose’s savory favorites like Lulu’s Chicken alongside many indulgent and vegan options including fried plantains and coconut jollof rice. This unique menu will continue to build on SWELL as a destination for the culturally curious, serving delicious and unique food alongside the stellar used book selections and music and arts programming we're continuing to grow! Mark your calendars for AUGUST 25th, our first day with our new menu, and we'll be celebrating all night with Rose alongside music spun by DJ Papito (music from the Banned Countries), and free Beignets with purchase!
