Our hearts are heavy as we try to process yesterday’s heartbreaking events at a college in Southern Illinois.

This tragedy hits especially close to home. So many of those affected have connections to our extended Village Tavern family, including close friends, family members, members of the Glenbard North High School and GBN Cheer communities, and friends of our younger staff. These connections make this heartbreak feel even closer, and our hearts go out to everyone impacted.

There really are no words. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the families, friends, and everyone affected by this tragedy. We wish there were something we could do to ease even a little of the pain they're feeling.

Please hug your kids a little tighter, hold your loved ones a little closer, and never miss an opportunity to tell them how much they mean to you.

From our Village Tavern family to yours, we're sending all our love, strength, and prayers. ❤️
