We are super excited to have renowned artist and illustrator Charles Vess coming to Dragonfly on Saturday, July 25 for an author talk and book signing! 🎉

Based on the ballad of Tam Lin, Charles's wonderful fantasy novel, "The Queen of Summer's Twilight," takes the reader through the boundaries between the mortal and the Fae worlds as Janet and Thomas fall in love, face terrifying enemies, and find family.

We are taking pre-orders for the book through July 13 so if you'd like a copy and to have it signed, fill our our order form here ➡ https://forms.gle/SKBbP1ciMaFuRfuKA. Please note in the final question if you want the book personalized or just a signature.

In the meantime, tune into Radio Bristol Book Club on WBCM-Radio Bristol on Thursday, June 25, 12:00pm for a discussion of the book and interview with Charles! And check out the exhibit "Charles Vess: The Book of Ballads" at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum.

Dragonfly Book Bar will be closed from Saturday, June 27 until Friday, July 3. Over that week we will be transforming the front exterior of the store courtesy of Believe in Bristol's Facade Grant, plus staff will be taking some much-deserved time off!

Join us for our monthly Writers' Gathering on Saturday, June 20, 3:00-5:00pm. We start this group-led event with a 10-minute writing prompt exercise, followed by the chance for aspiring writers to share their work and get feedback, talk about resources to help on the writing journey, exchange ideas and writing tips, and more.

This month's writing prompts are:
