We love hearing those words from the folks who come through our doors and then walk out with their next great read in hand. And so we are going to start sharing their fave found books with you!

"Hi! I was asked to do a little plug for a book I found at my favorite local bookstore, Dragonfly. This is called 'The Book of Eels.' It's about eels, but also father and son, Sigmund Freud and Rachel Carson do a little cameo, the metamorphosis of eels, the mystery of eels - because we still don't know everything about eels. But also about existence beyond human understanding and how existence and mystery can exist in the same time, and probably does for most of the living things around us. It was a phenomenal book. And, I know...a book...about eels! It's really great, and I found it at Dragonfly."

It can certainly depend, and sometimes they are both great for sure, but we almost always fall on the side of the book - or at least advocate to read it along with the show or film!

At 2:00pm, Jeff will give a short talk on his book "The Black Belt of Virginia: Untold Stories of African American History," and if you purchase a copy, he'll also sign it for you!
