🏆 We're proud to share that O'Brien & Brough has been awarded the Award for Excellence, for the highest average score across all submissions, plus individual medals for our O&B Blended Bourbon and Lime Rock Gin at the BAP Rhode Worthy Cup.
Most of you know us as a cocktail bar, and of course we love that side of things. But pop in on a Monday morning or a Wednesday afternoon and you'll see us distilling, bottling, and slowly getting our spirits out into the world, bar by bar, sometimes one bottle at a time.
We put a lot of time and care into everything we make. This award is a meaningful nod to that hard work. But whenever there's any kind of signal that someone has enjoyed a taste of our spirit - an award, a glowing review, a featured cocktail at a great local spot - we are so appreciative and proud of the work we get to do every day. And we know so many others in Rhode Island in the same boat.
This is a tough time for our industry. We've all heard that people aren't going out or drinking as much. And for what it's worth, we respect any choices a person makes for their own lifestyle, wallet, or health. All we'd ask is that when you do decide to get that drink, you consider something made locally, with care, by one of the many talented producers here in Rhode Island and New England. Thank you to BAP and the Rhode Worthy Cup for this recognition, and to every other local producer out there making something worth toasting to. Congrats to all of the winners!
