Rock Island Public House Craft beer and cocktail bar located in historic Blue Island. Rock Island Public House was opened by Jen and Dave Brown in 2012.

We believe in the power of craft beer to build a community of individuals that support all things local. We strive to feature small local brewers with a focus on Midwestern beers. We work directly with breweries to get a beer in your hand that is unique and represents the highest “craft” in the beer world. Our tap lines feature a glycol cooling system, ensuring your beer is poured at the perfect temperature in the perfect glass. Our attention detail is inspired by the hardworking brewers and our hardworking customers, who deserve nothing less than our deeply earned respect. We named our bar in honor of the Rock Island Railroad, a “mighty fine line” that first steamed in to Blue Island in 1852. The Rock Island’s tracks still run behind the bar and continue to serve. We like to think that our Public House would have been the saloon of choice for all that helped make the Rock Island run. We are proud to carry on its tradition and invite you to join us.
