The Austin Swing Syndicate holds one of the longest running and best attended weekly swing dances in the country. Since 1999 our Thursday night dance at the Texas Federation of Women’s Clubs (or as we call it, The Fed) consistently draws 200 people each week. Our goal is to grow this supportive and welcoming environment and share our appreciation for vintage jazz through dance with the community at large. Collegiate S**g is an uplifting and expressive dance that will literally put a spring in your step! This sampler class is a great fit for both newer S**g dancers and more experienced ones looking to revisit the basics. 7:30-8:30, admission + $10

Learn some Lindy Hop tomorrow with Keli & Kunal! In this all-levels sampler class, you'll broaden your repertoire of 6- and 8-count moves and improve your foundational basics. Admission + $10.

Our 7:30 Style Sampler features a new dance style each week:

2nd Thursday: Lindy Hop
3rd Thursday: Balboa
4th Thursday: Collegiate S**g

Looking for a way to support swing dancing in Austin? Here are a few ideas:

🙋 Sign up to volunteer! It takes 15 volunteers every night to put on the Thursday dance.

👯 Invite your friends! Word of mouth is one of the most effective ways to introduce people to swing dancing.

🕺 Join the Intro to Swing lesson & ask new people to dance! Maintaining a welcoming community is a group effort.

🫶 Become a member! For just $50 per year with a Regular Membership, you receive reduced admission at Syndicate Thursday night dances.

Have special skills you'd like to offer, like marketing or grant writing? Contact the Board for more ways to help out!
