It felt like it would never happen, but Longtrees is back! We’ve built a space that celebrates everything we love about Alexandria.

Thank you for your patience, and your unwavering support. We can’t wait to serve you again! Field and forest to table ingredients are the bread and butter of our scratch kitchen. A real wood-fire grill is at the heart of Longtrees, where steaks and rotisserie chickens roast over an open flame. Taking inspiration from the natural splendor of the north, our menu transitions with the seasons, incorpo

rating locally hunted, harvested and foraged ingredients. For the adventurous type, we’ll offer field fresh game such as duck, elk, and venison, as well as foraged morels and lobster mushrooms along side classic midwest comfort food. Our full bar will offer signature cocktails without all the hubbub, as well as an unpretentious wine list and local tap beers.

Alright, if you’re reading this, congratulations. You’ve probably watched the 'Coming Soon' sign on our door long enough that it has become part of your daily commute. We appreciate that level of surveillance.
It turns out, 'Soon' is Friday, May 29th. We think. (No, definitely, we are pretty sure haha j/k).
Now, like quietly tipping you off about where the Walleye are biting, we’re giving you the insider info on you how to actually eat here these first few weeks. MAKE A RESERVATION. We are strongly, politely, and slightly desperately encouraging reservations.
Why? Because while we’ve built the place to run like a well-oiled machine, right now it feels more like a 'moderately confused bicycle built for two.' We need to slowly break it in and reach full capacity without staring blankly at a crowd of hungry walk-ins. Limited walk-in space will exist, but we cannot guarantee you won't be that blankly stared-at person.

Longtrees is on the move!
To our incredible team of hospitality pros—thank you for showing up with heart, hustle, and genuine care day after day. You are the reason Longtrees feels like home to so many, and we couldn’t be prouder to have you at the center of it all.

And to our guests—the best patrons a restaurant could ever ask for—thank you for making this place more than just a spot to eat. Your support, your stories, and your love for Longtrees have meant the world to us.

Our final day of service will be Monday, May 26th, and demolition of the current building will begin the very next day. While we’ll miss this space, we’re beyond excited to bring you Longtrees 2.0 at The Rune this fall.

Until then, stop in for your favorite dish, raise a glass, and help us send this chapter off in true Longtrees style.
