♡ Japanese Style Grooming ♡

Helmed by a skilful and award-winning Japanese stylist from Tokyo, fur parents can have their animal companions transformed with trendy styles from Tokyo, creative makeovers and adorned with stylish hair extensions, accessories and even nail capping. Our salon adopts a open concept and uses state of the art, holistic, safe and sanitised equipment and material to provide quality grooming for our guests. Each stylist is only allocated 4 - 5 styling guests (depending on breed size and complexity) each day with no rush, frazzle and stress so you can rest assured your animal companion will receive undivided attention from our stylist with ample time to create unique looks.

♡ Spa & Healing Technology from Japan ♡

Petopia is the only pet service centre in the region to have a nanobubble bath machine imported from Japan. The nanobubble tub discharges nano-sized water particles which penetrate the pores of the skin and coat, thus giving the animal companion a thorough wash and lingering freshness. Animal companions with skin problems can be treated with an Ultrasonic Ozone Spa followed by a Clay-pack Far Infrared (FIR) therapy session. The Ultrasonic Ozone spa detoxifies the skin and coat with ozone and facilitates skin rejuvenation via an ultrasonic effect produced by the multiple jets in the tub. Following that, the animal companions are coated with healing clay blended with floral hydrolates, wrapped with a special bathrobe and then be massaged under the infrared panels, where the gentle radiant heat increases blood circulation, thereby reducing inflammation and soothing the skin and body with the healing clay mix. Petopia is also the first pet establishment in Asia other than Japan to introduce Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HOT), which helps animal companions cope with the effects of aging, illness, injury or overexertion via abundant access to pure oxygen. The animal companion is placed in a large transparent chamber that supplies a pressurised flow of pure oxygen 1.5 times that of atmospheric oxygen level, affording the companion more oxygen in the bloodstream for cell regrowth and repair, thus speeding the recovery process.

★ ✰ Royal Mail Workers Defend Suspended Postman After Dog Death ✰ ★

Royal Mail workers have defended a postman who has been suspended from work after he kicked a dog which allegedly caused its death.

The incident happened in the Kingsbrook area of Aylesbury on Saturday, July 11, with footage being shared onto social media. The clip shows an 11-year-old Shih Tzu named Ethel being kicked while a parcel was being delivered.

Ethel's owner, Eve Lewis, told The Sun that the dog was partially blind, had only one tooth remaining and posed no threat to the postal worker. Despite emergency veterinary treatment, Ethel later died after suffering catastrophic injuries.

Now, several Royal Mail employees have spoken to The Telegraph in defence of the suspended worker, citing the dangers postmen and postwomen can face while carrying out deliveries.

One postal worker told The Telegraph: "I kicked a terrier that bit my leg to get it off me, and I would do it again."

Another said: "I felt for that dog and the owner, but I also felt for the postie.

"If you have been bitten, or been threatened with being bitten, it makes you scared. They come snapping at your ankles and it's frightening."

A third worker told The Telegraph: "I'm on his side.

"If you know the area you can do your best to keep safe.

"If you don't then you're supposed to not take any risks."

Other postal workers commenting on social media also argued that delivery staff frequently face difficult situations involving dogs, with some claiming owners often insist pets are "just being friendly" even after incidents have occurred.

The comments come after Ms Lewis described the incident as particularly shocking given Ethel's age and frailty.

Speaking to The Sun, she said: "He didn't even just kick her, he toe-punted her like she was a football. She flew up in the air and hit the ground and rolled three times."

The NHS worker added that she was "heartbroken and angry" following the loss of her pet and said she wanted to ensure the same thing did not happen to another family.

Royal Mail has confirmed the worker has been suspended while a full investigation takes place. A spokesperson for the company said: "We are deeply sorry for this distressing incident, and we know how upsetting it is for the family.

"We are treating this matter very seriously."

The postal operator has also said it will cover the family's veterinary costs.

Thames Valley Police has implemented safeguarding measures but has made no arrests in connection with the incident.

The case has reignited discussion about dog attacks on postal workers. According to Royal Mail, there were 2,019 dog attacks on postal employees across the UK last year, including 61 that resulted in significant injuries.

More than half occurred at front doors, while a quarter took place in gardens, driveways or yards.

Causing unnecessary suffering to an animal is a criminal offence and can carry a maximum sentence of five years' imprisonment, an unlimited fine, or both.❣️

★ ✰ DOGS BANNED AT UK TULIP FESTIVAL AFTER DOG PASSES AWAY SHORTLY AFTER VISIT 💔🐕 ✰ ★

It began as a beautiful spring outing. It ended in heartbreak. 🐾🌷

After visiting a tulip festival in the United Kingdom, Bobby, a healthy three-year-old Springer Spaniel, suddenly became seriously ill and sadly passed away later that day.

Veterinarians believe tulips, particularly their bulbs, can be highly toxic to dogs if ingested.

Following the incident, organisers banned dogs from attending the remainder of the festival while increasing safety warnings throughout the grounds.

Bobby's story has become an important reminder that some of the biggest dangers to our pets can be hiding in the most beautiful places. 🐾🧡❤️💛💖💕

★ ✰ Man Gets Jail For Setting Fire To Cardboard Cat Houses Placed At Void Decks ✰ ★

A retiree noticed that small cardboard houses meant for cats placed at the void deck and pavilion near his Housing Board (HDB) block in Bukit Batok drew birds. He also felt they attracted pests.

When his feedback about the issue to his Member of Parliament (MP) went apparently unheeded, the elderly man set fire to the cardboard structures and left the fires unattended.

Koh Teng Boo, a 68-year-old Singaporean man, was sentenced to three months' jail on Tuesday (Aug 4). He pleaded guilty to one count of mischief by fire.

The court heard that Koh lived at a block in Bukit Batok East Avenue 4.

In September 2025, he noticed that cardboard structures meant to house cats had been put up around the pavilion beside Block 261, Bukit Batok East Avenue 4, and the void deck of Block 263, Bukit Batok East Avenue 4.

The houses were stocked with food and water and meant to provide food and shelter for stray cats.

Koh observed that this led to birds going to the cat houses and he also felt that the structures were prone to attracting pests. He provided feedback on this issue to his MP.

A check on the Parliament website shows that his MPs were from Jurong East-Bukit Batok GRC.

☆ BURNING OF THE HOUSES ☆

In October 2025, Koh picked up three cat houses around his block, threw them into an incense burner bin and set them on fire. He did so because he felt no visible action had been taken about the houses despite his plea to his MP.

Two days after burning the houses, Koh noticed that more cat houses had been set up.

He paid another visit to his MP on Nov 17, 2025, and raised the same concerns. He stressed that he did not have any grievance with cats, but his concern was over hygiene. He also claimed that residents were throwing litter into the cat houses.

Two days later, Koh was on his way home in the wee hours after drinking alcohol. When he passed by the void deck of Block 263, Bukit Batok East Avenue 4, he saw a cat house.

He took out a lighter and set fire to the structure, despite knowing that it would damage the area. He walked away and left the fire unattended.

Investigations were unable to determine when or how the fire was eventually put out.

At about 5.30am on Nov 20, 2025, Koh went to the pavilion beside Block 261, Bukit Batok East Avenue 4, intending to set fire to more cat houses. He was angered that no visible action had been taken about the cat houses despite his complaints, the prosecutor said.

Koh again set fire to a cat house and left it burning unattended. Passers-by who saw the structure put out the fire soon after.

The Jurong-Clementi-Bukit Batok Town Council spent about S$913 (US$712) repairing the damage to the flooring and walls around the two burnt cat houses.

An informant made a police report on Nov 20, 2025. Koh's acts were captured on closed-circuit television footage and the police identified him and arrested him.

Koh made full restitution to the town council in March.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Stephen Yeo sought four to four-and-a-half months' jail. He said the harm caused was "relatively modest" and Koh had made full restitution.

However, there was some potential harm as Koh had set fire in the early hours both times and left the fires unattended, said Mr Yeo.

Koh was unrepresented. He told the court through a Mandarin interpreter that he had tried to apply for legal aid but was told he did not qualify because of his household income. He is also unable to afford a lawyer on his own and is unemployed, he said.

In mitigation, Koh said he had set fire to the cat houses because the incense burner bins he had previously used had been removed.

He also added that the feedback he had given to his MP had not been acted upon.

"I know that my actions of setting the fires are wrong, dangerous and I'm remorseful for my action," he said.

He submitted recent photos of the cat houses and said they now look more hygienic and well-maintained.

Deputy Principal District Judge Kessler Soh told Koh that it was important for him to remember never to take matters into his own hands. He said that while the prosecution's submitted sentence was fair and reasonable, he took Koh's age and medical condition in consideration, as well as the fact he had made restitution.

For mischief by fire, Koh could have been jailed for up to seven years and fined. As the charge contained multiple instances, he could have been given up to double the penalties.❣️

The retiree said he had given feedback to his MP about the cat houses but felt nothing visible was done.
