Our chef's special this month is the lesser known Ayam Gepuk. Marinated chicken thigh pounded till tender, deep fried and served with sambal and cashew paste. Much more depth than your usual Ayam Penyet πŸ˜‰

International Beer Day lands on Friday 7 Aug, which around here is just Friday.

Our Handlebar Craft Lager and Softale are both brewed locally, to Reinheitsgebot, the German Purity Law that's been around since 1516. Water, malt, hops and yeast, nothing else, made right here in Singapore. Worth raising one on Beer Day, and every other day 🍺

Gillman Barracks is where we started in 1999 and we hope it won't be where we end. With our tenancy expiring in 2030, we hope SLA will assist businesses with relocation.

Businesses in Gillman Barracks adopt a wait-and-see approach as their tenancies near expiration ahead of site redevelopment. Read more at straitstimes.com. Read more at straitstimes.com.

Sometimes Chef Rigor likes to give us challenges. Most times we humbly accept. This is one of them.

Here's July's special dish - an appetiser called Vitello Tonnato. Not tomato, tonnato. What means??

It's a Piedmontese (northwestern Italy) dish of cold, thinly sliced veal, topped with a creamy, mayonnaise-style sauce that is flavoured with tuna.

I don't know how, but it's good. And he is actually trained in Italian cuisine, you know. So you should try it too.

Available while July lasts.
