Once the tandoor is fired up, it stays fired up. 🔥

Our charcoal-fired oven reaches temperatures of over 350°C and runs for 24 hours, creating the intense heat needed for that signature smoky char and grilled finish.

Inside, our Fish Tikka and Lamb Seekh Kebab are cooked over the flames, allowing the spices to shine while keeping every bite tender and full of flavour.

A little taste of authentic North Indian cooking, served at Barrels since 2008.

Ever wondered why it’s called Fish 65?

No, it’s not 65 pieces of fish. (We wish. 😏)

The name comes from the iconic South Indian Chicken 65, believed to have originated in Chennai. Over the years, the same spiced, crispy style has inspired plenty of variations, including our crowd-favourite Fish 65.

Tender fish fillets are coated in a house spice blend and deep-fried until crispy on the outside while staying flaky within.

The kind of plate that disappears faster than you’d expect. Best enjoyed with a cold pint and good company.

A couple of weeks ago, Barrels Balmoral wasn't just a Bistro. It was a room full of love, laughter, and a few misty eyes as we said "see you later" to one of our regulars, who's now starting a new life in America.

Afriend. A familiar face that made this place feel like home. The kind of person who remembered everyone's name, pulled up a chair for a stranger, and turned an ordinary Tuesday night into something worth remembering.

We miss you already

Thank you, for your loyalty, your warmth and your stories. We wish you every success, every happiness, and every adventure that America has to offer.

But here's the thing about Barrels.

People ask us what makes this place different. It's not the drinks though they're cold. It's not the food, our chef makes the most incredible meals. It's the people.

Barrels has always been more than a restaurant. It's a living room for friendships that last decades. A place where life happens with celebrations.
