At some point during our Porto Food Tours, guests almost always ask the same question:

“Could we actually learn to cook one of these dishes?”

That question is what eventually led us to create our Cooking Classes in Porto.

Instead of a demonstration or a typical cooking workshop, we wanted something closer to the way food is really shared in Portugal: around a table, with stories, wine, and a bit of laughter along the way.

So we partnered with a rising-star chef and created a small, intimate cooking experience inside her fine-dining restaurant in the heart of Porto.

During this three-hour class, guests learn how to prepare one of Portugal’s most iconic dishes: a seafood cataplana.

Along the way, people usually discover a few things they weren’t expecting:

Grandmother-style cooking tips;

Stories behind traditional Portuguese recipes;

And a deeper understanding of the energy inside a real kitchen.
