FUNWORLD mid 80s - on Fenton St. It was jammed between Kingsize Burger Bar and the massage parlour ( Bobbys and the later Roxannes) and also Adult World which then became a Christian drop in center. Today this wouldn’t happen today… people would be upset over the surrounding businesses.
Back in the day the Daily Post did a story about street kids, living on the streets. This was apparently a real problem in the 80s… the photo the newspaper used was of my brother, who was leaning on the wall, waiting for his mates to turn up. My mum wasn't impressed.
This and the photo of Wizards is all I've found in Brian Holdens photos of Amusement arcades.
