Paddy was in trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary. His wife was really pi**ed.
She told him, “Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in 6 seconds, AND IT BETTER BE THERE !!”

The next morning he got up early and left for work. When his wife woke up, she looked out the window, and sure enough, there was a box gift wrapped in the middle of the driveway.

Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway, bringing the box back into the house.

She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale.

Paddy has been missing since Friday.

Today we think about the legacy Glen Hansard leaves behind.

From the streets of Dublin to the Academy Awards stage, he remained unmistakably Irish every step of the way. Winning an Oscar was a moment of immense pride, not just for Glen, but for Ireland as a whole. He showed the world that honest storytelling, raw talent and unforgettable music could come from our little island and resonate across the globe.

Long after the applause has faded, his songs will continue to be sung, his lyrics will continue to comfort people, and his influence will continue to inspire generations of musicians and songwriters.

Some voices never really leave us.
