World Chardonnay Day

Today we're celebrating the producers who make Hawke's Bay one of the world's great chardonnay regions. Our wine list is stacked with local talent - Beach House, Maxim Wines, Clearview Estate Winery Restaurant Cellar Door , Collaboration Wines , Smith & Sheth , Tony Bish Wines , Villa Maria Estate , and Radburnd Cellars - each bringing something different to the glass.

From Bridge Pa to Te Awanga to Gimblett Gravels, the diversity of our soils and sites means there's a chardonnay here for everyone.

To the winemakers who put Hawke's Bay chardonnay on the map and keep raising the bar - thank you. We're proud to showcase your work every night.

The Perfect World Chardonnay Day Recipe

World Chardonnay Day is on Thursday and we know how you should celebrate - with a delicious recipe straight from our kitchen to yours: Gurnard with chardonnay butter sauce and dashi braised turnips. Paired perfectly with a good bottle of local chardonnay, of course.

We shared the full recipe in our newsletter this week with all the details you need. Want it? DM us and we’ll send it straight to you.

Happy cooking and sipping.

Big Bottle Energy I Thursday 28 May | 6.30pm | $149pp

Five magnums, food built for sharing, and one very good night ahead.

We're pouring some seriously impressive large-format wines from Marlborough to Gimblett Gravels to Italy, paired with a menu designed to match.

Because magnums are made for celebrating, and celebrating is better with friends.

Tickets are limited and this will sell out - book now through our website.

A dish too pretty to eat?

(Almost. But not quite.)

The rumour is dishes like this are what caused the epidemic of "the phone eating first". For that, we apologise.

Not really.
