Here's an update from Mike van Woerkom on behalf of Dalefield HC on the Farriers Dalefield Premier 1 men's hockey team we are proud to sponsor.

"A bit of a hockey update from the Farriers Dalefield Premier 1 Men now that we are nearing the half-way stage of the 2026 season.

The last three (3) games have seen the team take a break from the Wellington Premier competition with games in the InterCity competition which includes teams from the lower North Island - Hawke’s Bay across to Manawatu and down through the Wairarapa to Wellington.

The team is flying the Wairarapa flag proudly with wins over Hutt United (6-2) from Wellington, College OB from Manawatu (5-1) and Bay Independent from Hawke’s Bay (7-2).

With a weekend off for King’s Birthday, the team will play Te Awa, also from Hawke’s Bay, at Clareville on June 6 in the sudden-death semi-final.
Specific details of hit-off time have yet to be determined - please keep an eye on the newspapers.
