We are a small award winning brewery located in the beautiful Hawke’s Bay. We started out as a barebones, backyard operation but have recently moved to our new premises in central Hastings, with an onsite tasting room, cellar door and eatery. We like to think of ourselves as your neighbourhood brewery. We've grown a little, but our ethos hasn't changed. We make quality, flavourful beer and do our darnedest to ensure it's served fresh. We’ve got the usual goods, a top notch burger special (think bacon jalapeño jam & smoked cheddar sauce!) and award winning b**r.

We aren’t accepting bookings for Sunday. Walk ins only.

Feel free to pop in before Sunday too, if you need some gift ideas. Our front of house team will point you in the right direction.

With Father’s Day just around the corner, we thought we’d do a wee shout out to the three dads we have working here at Brave.

Between brewing & packaging b**r, overseeing the business, working hard in the taproom and being dads at home, they’ve got plenty to do - and they do a pretty bloody good job of it all! 🤎

So here’s to our three Brave dads, and to all the dads, stepdads, grandads and father figures out there.

We are very excited to announce that our Bottle Rocket Pale Ale has been named in the Top 25 at the 2026 New World B**r & C***r Awards. Over 650 b**rs and ciders were judged, so we are proud as punch of the team. It’s wonderful to see Bottle Rocket earn its place among the very best in New Zealand.
