The Rumi Poets Collective is a open space set at Rumi’s terrace for people and poets to meet, write, exchange ideas and constructive feedback, find inspiration, or simply spend an evening among people who care about words.

Write alone or alongside others. Try a prompt, bring a draft, ask a question, talk about submissions—or simply get to know your fellow poets. How you use the night is entirely up to you.

This Wednesday, we gather for the second time.

Whether you are writing your very first poem or have been publishing for years—whether you live in Malta or are only passing through—you are welcome.

Bring a notebook, a draft, a question—or simply bring yourself, your thoughts, to share..with❤️

For the 30th edition of POETRY FROM THE FUTURE, in collaboration with the Malta Biennale, we will gather once again to explore the theme:

“The Worst Thing Ever Said”

A sentence can wound, reveal, haunt, liberate, or open a door we did not know was there.
This edition invites you to go beyond shock value and enter the deeper echo of words: what they carry, what they break, what they expose, and what they leave behind.

Bring your poetry, your voice, or the words of another.

Curated by Sam Alekksandra with Artistic Director Julien Vinet - Ponks Collective , this monthly platform brings contemporary poetry to life through performance, where each recitation becomes a unique, living moment. As part of Malta Biennale 2026, this special edition continues to explore poetry as a space of expression, ritual, and imagination.
