Ottantaquattro, e li porta benissimo!

4-84 Codice Bortolotti è un extra brut 100% Nosiola nato dalla vendemmia 2016, che ha trascorso 8 mesi sui lieviti e 84 ad affinare in bottiglia. Un’attesa e un’evoluzione che si ritrova in un sorso complesso ed elegante, tra note di frutta secca e tropicale e una piacevole acidità sul finale.

4-84 Codice Bortolotti is a 100% Nosiola Extra Brut from the 2016 harvest. It spent 8 months on the lees and 84 months ageing in the bottle. That patience and evolution come through in every complex, elegant sip, with notes of dried and tropical fruit and a refreshing acidity on the finish.

Prima di essere una tipologia prevista dal disciplinare, l’Extra Brut per noi era già un’intuizione.

Per anni Valdobbiadene ha parlato soprattutto la lingua del Dry e dell’Extra Dry. Poi è arrivato il Brut e, infine, l’Extra Brut. Per noi, però, non è mai stata una questione di moda ma piuttosto di ispirazione. Un modo per lasciare spazio alle differenze tra esposizioni, terroir e singoli vigneti.

◾​MCMXLVII, per gli amici 47: un Valdobbiadene DOCG superiore Extra Dry che prende il nome dall’anno di fondazione dell’azienda e porta la firma del capostipite, Umberto Bortolotti. Un bouquet intenso di pesca, fiori bianchi e talco, al palato fruttato e cremoso, molto lungo.
◽Cartizze: il principe della Valdobbiadene nella nostra versione nasce da 12 mesi di rifermentazione in autoclave, per ottenere un vino dai sentori fruttati e agrumati, con un ridotto residuo zuccherino che offre un sapore morbido ed elegante.

We call them "Gli Storici", and they are:
◾ MCMXLVII, or simply 47: a Valdobbiadene DOCG Superiore Extra Dry named after the year our winery was founded. It bears the signature of our founder, Umberto Bortolotti. Expect an intense bouquet of peach, white flowers and talcum powder, with a fruity, creamy palate and an exceptionally long finish.
◽ Cartizze: the prince of Valdobbiadene, interpreted our way. It undergoes 12 months of secondary fermentation in autoclave, resulting in a wine with fruity and citrus aromas and a lower residual sugar content, for a smooth, elegant taste.

C’era già posto per Viniloqui nei nostri cuori. In cantina, invece, abbiamo dovuto riorganizzarci! Questa linea è il nostro laboratorio sul tempo, per esplorare il lato più insolito del Metodo Martinotti: una fermentazione lunga 20 anni per raggiungere un risultato complesso e sorprendente.

There was already room for Viniloqui in our hearts. In the cellar, however, we had to make a few changes! This range is our laboratory for time: a way to explore the most unusual side of the Martinotti Method, with a 20-year-long fermentation leading to a complex and surprising result.
