Falzarego. In ladino: "falza rego" = Falso re👑
Un nome che non è una coincidenza, ma la condanna di un sovrano tramandata per secoli dalla tradizione orale ladina.
Secondo la leggenda, nelle Dolomiti esisteva un potente regno: il Regno di Fanes.
Un popolo fiero, alleato con le marmotte del sottosuolo, governato da un re che aveva tutto ma che voleva sempre di più.
L'avidità lo consumò💰
In segreto, strinse un patto con i nemici: avrebbe consegnato loro il regno in cambio dell'oro nascosto nel Lagazuoi.
Il suo popolo non sapeva nulla.
Sua figlia Dolasilla era la speranza di Fanes🗡
Guerriera leggendaria, portava un'armatura bianca forgiata dai nani e finché la indossava, era invincibile.
Quando il popolo la supplicò di combattere, Dolasilla non si tirò indietro.
Ma il tradimento del padre aveva già fatto il suo corso e l'armatura, un tempo bianca, era diventata nera e aveva perso ogni potere.

La leggenda vuole che il re, non ricevette né oro né gloria, solo la notizia della morte di sua figlia.
Gli dei, per il suo tradimento, lo tramutarono in pietra e da quella roccia prese il nome il Passo che oggi chiamiamo Falzarego⛰

Legend says that deep in the Dolomites, a powerful kingdom once existed: the Kingdom of Fanes.
A proud people, allied with the marmots of the
underground, ruled by a king who had everything and still wanted more.
Greed consumed him.💰
In secret, he made a deal with his enemies: he would hand over the kingdom in exchange for the gold hidden inside Mount Lagazuoi.
His people knew nothing.
His daughter Dolasilla was the hope of Fanes.🗡
A legendary warrior, she wore a white armor forged by the dwarves and as long as she wore it, she was invincible.
When her people begged her to fight, she did not hesitate.But her father's betrayal had already done its damage.
The armor, once white, had turned black and with it, all its power was gone.
✖ She fell.
The king received neither gold nor glory.
Only the news of his daughter's death.
The gods, as punishment for his betrayal, turned him to stone.
And from that rock, the mountain pass took its name.The pass we still call Falzarego today⛰
