This weekend, The Royal Valentia Hotel is proud to be part of an exciting programme of presentations taking place in celebration of Biodiversity Week and alongside Inbhear Sceine Kerry Sub Aqua Club

On Friday night, May 22nd at 8pm, Louise Overy will present on her fascinating research on Angel Sharks in Tralee Bay. Louise leads the Angle Sharks project Ireland and the Irish Elasmobranch Group and will discuss her research on Sharks and Rays including the endangered Angel Shark.

On the Saturday evening, May 23rd at 8pm, Professor Taylor Chapelle, one of the worlds leading researchers on Basking Sharks will join us to present on his recent research on the amazing animals that frequent our beautiful coastline. Ireland is a hotspot globally for Basking Sharks and Professor Chapelle has spent a number of years tagging and researching sharks off the Kerry coast.
