Keane's Bar, Maam Bridge

Congratulation to two locals, Jack Hanley and Tomas Higgins who were honored and recognised for their valuable contribution in Keane's Bar, Maam Bridge at the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Galway Mountain Rescue Team.

Since its establishment in 1975, the team has played a critical role in emergency response in the Maam Valley and surrounding areas. Operating 24/7 in all weather conditions.

The 50th celebrations acknowledges the commitment and dedication of all the many volunteers past and present.

They are entirely volunteer based and relies on public donation to fund training, equipment and operations.
