‘Points of Viewing’, an exhibition of new Painting, Drawing and Mixed Media works by Hilary Morley & Clodagh Wade.

Clodagh Wade and Hilary Morley live in Galway and both studied Fine Art with an emphasis on painting and drawing. They have exchanged ideas and offered each other encouragement and support on many occasions and particularly in recent months.

This exhibition brings together a collection of their new and carefully selected works in watercolour, charcoal, mixed media and collage. While distinct in style and materials used, their works are united by complementary colour palettes and a careful attention to detail. Both artists share a deep appreciation for the natural world. Clodagh explores the wonder of the sea and coastline areas of Galway, while Hilary is drawn to the endangered rural landscape of the western city suburbs and beyond.

As part of the exhibition, Le Chéile: An Evening of Creative Conversation with Clodagh & Hilary will take place on Monday 19th October (7–9pm). Tickets (€25) include an artist talk & a wine tasting. Booking essential: https://www.darogwinebar.com/artevents

Meet the Artist: Bríd Fanning ✨

What shapes an artist?

For Bríd Fanning, it begins with where she grew up — a small farm in County Meath, surrounded by animals, nature and the everyday rhythms of rural life.

Her current exhibition at Daróg, Raised Among Them, reflects on those early experiences and the memories, characters and connections that stayed with her.

On Monday 7th September, Bríd will join Edel Lukács for an evening of conversation about her work, her journey as an artist and the stories behind the exhibition.

There’ll be art, wine, a tasting of two wines selected for the evening, and plenty of time to meet Bríd and explore her work.
