One of our favourite whiskeys 🥃

A truly rare pour, and one we’re proud to have behind the bar at Searsons of Baggot Street – National Whiskey Bar of the Year 2024 ✨

This W.D. O’Connell PX Series 20 Year Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey is something special. Distilled at Cooley Distillery, it matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks for 17 years before spending a further 42 months in an ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry cask. Bottled from a single cask at 49.5% ABV, non-chill filtered and with no added colour, it showcases the remarkable influence of both time and exceptional cask management.

On the nose, expect vanilla-dusted sultanas, tart currants, candied citrus, crushed malt and oak. The palate delivers layers of raspberry, gooseberry, white grapefruit zest and juicy raisins, balanced by PX richness, date sweetness and warming spice.

The finish lingers beautifully with toasted oak, roasted hazelnuts, red berries and lingering sherried sweetness.

A whiskey to take your time with – complex, elegant and unique. Well worth it’s spot in the whiskey bar at Searsons 🥃
