The building itself has been a Public House since 1875. Just over 5 years ago the restaurant opened to rave reviews with a menu with all the classics but with a bit of flair. A lot of Actors and Directors in the Oarsman/Tunney's today rehearsing for the Parody of THE WANDERING ROCKS in THE WANDERING SHERRY - that superior tawny sherry Paddy Dignam was searching for. A lot of great improvisation too! 😉Thanks to Ruth & Gary for the bell from Lissadell House that will put order in Tunney's on the day! DON'T FORGET YOUR HAT!!👒

Don't miss Bloomsday at the Oarsman/ Tunney's immortalised in James Joyce's Ulysses! Tunney's aka The Oarsman is hosting a traditional bloomsday breakfast - Traditional Irish Breakfast with mutton kidney's and a Gorgonzola sandwich with a glass of Burgundy or pint of Guinness. Breakfast is being served from 10.30am - 1.30pm
Prizes for best dressed costume & The Oarsman is also hosting a coffee morning for the local community from 10.30 am starring Mary O' Neill as Nora Barnacle & Philip Murphy as James Joyce. Recitals from Ulysses will be presented by special guests but celebrations will continue throughout the day & probably the night 😂 look up Bloomsday Breakfast at Oarsman/ Tunney's on Eventbrite to book your breakfast!
