This week at The Gillygate
Another week is here, and we've got plenty to keep you entertained. From live music and quizzes to the launch of our brand new Sunday Garden Sessions, there's something happening every time you walk through the door. Whether you're popping in for a quick drink, enjoying some great food, or making a full evening of it, we'd love to see you.
🎤 Monday – Open Acoustic Session (8:30pm)
There's no better way to ease into the week than with our Open Acoustic Session, hosted by Dan Webster & Emily Lawler. Every Monday brings together a fantastic mix of local musicians, first-time performers, and familiar faces for a relaxed evening of live music. Bring an instrument and join in, or simply find a seat, order a drink, and enjoy the atmosphere.
🎶 Wednesday – Blues Collective (8pm)
Blues Collective returns with Martin Ledger & friends for another evening of outstanding live blues. Expect soulful performances, incredible musicianship, and the laid-back atmosphere that's made this one of our favourite nights of the week. Whether you're a dedicated blues fan or just looking for something a little different, it's always a brilliant evening.
🧠 Thursday – The Gillygate Quiz (7pm)
Gather your smartest mates and put your knowledge to the test at our weekly quiz night. It's still the same pen-and-paper format, full of laughs, friendly competition, and plenty of moments where you'll either feel like a genius... or wonder how you forgot the obvious answer!
🎸 Friday – Live Music: The Booze Brothers (9–11pm)
The Booze Brothers return this Friday with their lively blend of rocky country covers, powered by guitar, fiddle, and mandolin. Their infectious energy, familiar favourites, and foot-tapping sound always create a brilliant atmosphere, making them the perfect way to kick-start your weekend. Whether you're coming for one drink or staying all evening, you're in for a great night.
☀️♠ Sunday – Sunday Garden Sessions & Redtooth Poker
We're excited to launch our brand new Sunday Garden Sessions this week, bringing live acoustic music to our beer garden every Sunday throughout the summer from 5pm until 7pm. Kicking things off is Martin Ledger, who'll be providing the perfect soundtrack to a relaxed summer evening.
As the music comes to a close, the action moves indoors as Redtooth Poker begins at 7pm. Whether you're taking a seat at the tables or simply soaking up the atmosphere, it's a fantastic way to round off the weekend with friends.

If you're feeling peckish, our daytime menu is available throughout the week with sandwiches, toasties, soups, cakes, and more. Perfect for lunch, a coffee catch-up, or a bite to eat before the evening's entertainment begins.
