Love it!

Another brilliant venue, that champions local brewers and usually has great music on. This place should be on every beer enthusiasts 'must visit' list, when in Exeter.

Now appearing at Pig & Pickle Micropub in Heavitree, Exeter; is our popular Nanook!

Very much looking forward to appearing on the taps at Uffculme Music & Real Ale Festival this year!

Appearing alongside some excellent brewers, we're really excited to support this brilliant community festival.

In a slight shift, Tom will now be popping in on Friday evening for chat, so if you have any questions about the ales or our brewing process, or about brewing in general, come and find him in his branded hoodie and bend his ear!

See you there 🍺🍺🍺😉😉

🎶 FESTIVAL COUNTDOWN 🎶

Just 26 days to go until the Uffculme Music & Real Ale Festival 2026.

The music may grab the headlines, but let's not forget one of the other big stars of the show... 18 fabulous real ales from some of the South West's finest breweries! 🍺

From crisp golden ales and easy-drinking session beers to rich bitters, hoppy IPAs and dark, chocolatey porters, we've worked hard to put together a beer list with something for every palate. Whether you're a seasoned CAMRA member or simply enjoy a good pint, you'll find plenty to explore over the festival weekend.

Look out for beers with memorable names such as Goldihops, Bearserker, Funk 'N' Soul, Thirst of Many and Glimmer of Summer, alongside many other excellent brews from across the region.

A huge thank you goes to all of our ale sponsors, whose names appear alongside each beer on the tasting notes sheet. These are all local businesses and local people supporting a community event, and we genuinely couldn't do it without them.

We're also delighted to welcome Tom Davis from Black Bear Brewery on Friday evening. This is a great opportunity to meet a real brewer, chat about the brewing process, learn what goes into creating award-winning ales, and perhaps discover the story behind a pint or two of his excellent beers. If you've ever wanted to ask a brewer about hops, malt, fermentation or what inspires a beer name like Bearserker or Goldihops, here's your chance!

As well as enjoying a fantastic day out, you'll be helping support Uffculme in Lights. The festival is one of the group's biggest annual fundraisers, helping to fund the Christmas Lights and festive displays that brighten the village each winter.

🫵DO YOU LIKE PUBS?🫵

Have you ever thought about how much we rely on our local pubs, cafés, and restaurants? They’re the backdrop to our catch-ups, our celebrations, and our communities. But right now, the industry is really struggling.

Chef Tom Kerridge is stepping up to help change that by leading the campaign. He’s pushing for a much fairer 10% VAT rate for the hospitality sector.

Here’s the reality: lots of other European countries already step up to support their hospitality industries with lower VAT rates, but the UK is lagging behind. Dropping the rate to 10% isn't just about saving businesses—it’s about protecting the jobs of the people who work there, supporting local suppliers, and keeping our high streets alive.

If you've got a favorite local pub or a café you'd be heartbroken to lose, please take a minute to stand with them and sign the petition.

Let's help keep their doors open. 🍻☕️

The link to sign the petition is in the comments.

Thank you. 🫶

Thank you to everyone that made our Mussels Weekend another crazy busy one to remember!

Kitchen team, bar team, management, musicians and of course, attendees - you guys rocked it.

A few bears with sore heads this morning, and a stock cellar that had a big dent put into it, but we're back at it, brewing you more beer to enjoy.

It's a bank holiday, we're open, the drinks are cold, so get back here for some more fun in the sun.

Stuck for something to do on this BEAUTIFUL Sunday?

Why not start by heading over to the stunning Brendon Valley to enjoy what's probably the most scenic Beer Festival in the world, with the great guys from The Rockford Inn - Exmoor, Devon and after that, head over to the The Bear Inn, Wiveliscombe for some tasty mussels and shake that b***y with some great music from 6pm with Oli Armitage and Louis & The Iguanas at 8pm.

Sounds like a plan to me.
