Please sign our petition to show the number of people and local businesses who support the opening of Momentum Sports Bar on Leeds street.

We fully commit to making Wigan a better place. There is a vision to 'create fair opportunities for all' and this is what we will do to play our part;

• Start a partnership with Wigan Youth Zone and offer a safe space and top of the range equipment for their teenagers and children to use. Representatives of Wigan Youth Zone have visited our club and they cant wait for it to open 😍

• Run charity competitions to support The Brick, who do amazing work in our town 👏🏽

• Create jobs. But not just jobs! Our full and part time staff will have the opportunity to develop themselves by completing qualifications such as an NVQ in Customer Service or Management & Leadership 💡

• Introduce Momentum Academy. A series of kids clubs that include pool and darts coaching. This will help keep youths off the streets and hopefully give them ambition and drive to compete. Is the next Luke Littler in Wigan? 🚸

• Support local businesses on our estate by holding networking events. Workers can also relax in our chilled lounge area if they need to escape from the office 🏃‍♂️

• Become a hub for Wigan Athletic and Wigan Warriors supporters. Our amazing location is walking distance from The Brick Community Stadium. We will support the men's and women's teams and have already penciled in a visit from the Warriors full squad - thanks Liam ⚽️🏉
Look out for our Latics and Warriors themed private booths 🔴🔵

• Sponsor grassroots sport in Wigan. We will help fund local teams and individual players to give Wiganers the best opportunity to be successful 💪🏽

• Work with local pool and darts leagues and teams to ensure progress and longevity across both sports. Some local pubs and clubs rely on custom created by their teams. We will encourage growth by promotion and sponsorship 🎯🎱

PETITION TO SUPPORT THE OPENING OF MOMENTUM SPORTS BAR, WIGAN

We are disappointed to announce that our Change of Use application has been refused by Wigan Council.

During the process, it became clear that the application submitted differed from the proposal we had originally intended to put forward. While we are naturally disappointed with the outcome, we respect the Council’s decision and are now focused on understanding the reasons for the refusal and identifying the appropriate next steps.

We will be working tirelessly to address the outstanding matters, seek the necessary advice and engage constructively with Wigan Council to work towards a positive resolution. Our aim remains unchanged: to meet all relevant requirements and open our doors at the earliest possible opportunity.

We fully understand the excitement surrounding the current pool and darts circuit, and we are incredibly grateful for the support, encouragement and enthusiasm shown towards the new venue.

Although this is a setback, it is not the end of our plans. We remain committed to the project and will keep everyone updated as we progress.

Thank you sincerely for your continued patience, understanding and support. Your encouragement means a great deal to us, and we remain optimistic that we will overcome this challenge and welcome you through the doors very soon.
