Aitken Rosebowl Winners 🏆🌹

Ladies and Gentlemen, the results are in from a glorious, sun-drenched morning at Royal Whiting Bay.

Dominating today's greensomes competition, our champions put on a golfing masterclass, cruising home a full three shots clear of their nearest competitors. Huge congratulations to the winning team of Morrison & Hackett, which definitely sounds like a firm of less than reputable solicitors.

1. Dave Morrison & Fraser Hackett 69-12 = 57
2. Danny Head & John Pennycott 70-10 = 60
3. Jamie MacPherson & Stan Rainey 73-11 = 62

Sorry folks, due to a series of unfortunate events we are unable to offer food at tomorrow night's quiz. The quiz will of course go on as normal with the usual start time of half seven.

And just like that, the Winter Trophy is underway.

Congratulations to Dave Morrison for winning round one this morning, with Danny Head keeping it in the family finishing a stroke behind.

Worth noting that this archive photo was not taken yesterday.

2. Danny Head 69 - 4 = 65 and lowest gross
3. Stan Rainey 81 - 16 = 65

☀️ Summer Trophy 🏆

Wednesday saw the conclusion of this years Summer Trophy series. On a decidedly blustery day 17 players took to the course and Dave Morrison and Stan Rainey both finished on 61 shots, with Dave coming out on top with a better back nine.

1. David Morrison 73 - 12 = 61
2. Stan Rainey 77 - 16 = 61
3. Jamie MacPherson 72 - 06 = 66
4. Ryan Armstrong 69 - 02 = 67 (lowest gross)

Five Magic 2's were recorded, Stan on 4 & 11, Ryan on 14 and Jamie and Dave Morrison on 17.

Pictured here though are your overall winners, Big Ha and Big Heider, with the former winning the Summer Trophy after some amazing scores, and the latter winning the eclectic competition (with a net 43!). Well done to both Ryan and Danny and good luck to all in the Winter Cup which gets underway this coming Sunday morning.

This video proves that golf is a sport played by a certain kind of lunatic, but more importantly, shows that Arran is one of the most beautiful places to play golf in the whole world.

Be sure to give the guys from Cookie Jar Golf a like and a follow ❤️

Happy Birthday to the Clubhouse Supremo, David Hackett . Honestly, they grow up so fast, he'll be able to play in the Seniors soon.
