It is with great sadness that we share the devastating news of the passing of one of our beloved regulars, Ray Ashburner.

Ray was so much more than a customer to us, he was our friend. A devoted father, grandfather, friend to many, and a truly wonderful person, Ray was a valued part of The Blackburne Arms family. His warmth, kindness, and presence will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

For those wishing to pay their respects, Ray's family have kindly shared the funeral arrangements. The family will leave Ray’s house at 12:50pm to arrive approximately at Warrington Crematorium for 1:20pm, followed by a wake at The Blackburne Arms.

We invite everyone who knew and loved Ray to join us in raising a glass to our dear friend and giving him the send-off he so richly deserves.

You will be greatly missed, Ray.

🎉 MND Charity Fun Day – Saturday 16th May 🎉

Join us for a fantastic day of fun, music, food and fundraising as we come together to support the MND (Motor Neurone Disease) Association.

🕛 Starting from 12pm and going all the way until closing, there’ll be something for everyone – so get down early and grab the best seats for our first live band!

🎸 Live Music – THOMBRES (First Appearance!)
Kicking off the entertainment, THOMBRES take the stage with all the classic hits from the 60s through to the 00s, including favourites from The Eagles, Oasis and more. Make sure you’re in early to catch them!

It’s going to be a fantastic day bringing the community together to raise money for an incredible cause, while remembering the loved ones we have sadly lost and supporting those still bravely fighting this disease every day.
